If A Gobots Live Action Movie Was Being Made Today Who Would You Cast In

The Leading Roles?

Humans

Morgan Freeman- General Newcastle
Jeff Daniels - The Last Engineer
Owen Willson - The Master Renegade
Chris Noth - Matt Hunter
Zack Efron - Nick Burns
Raven - A.J. Foster

Gobots

Lou Richards - Leader-1
Kelly Ward - Fitor
Kirby Ward - Heat Seeker
B.J. Ward - Small Foot
Frank Wellker - Scooter/Zeemon/Blaster/Rest-Q/ Maybe Cy-Kill too
Marylin Lightstone - Crasher
Arthur Burgardt - Turbo/Cop-Tur

Of course because Bernard Erdhart died 6 years ago this idea would probably never happen but it's always nice to use your imagination.

reply

Bob Holt is also dead. Arthur Burghardt took over as Cop-Tur for the rest of the series. Tom Kane would be a good choice for playing CyKill.

reply

Maybe even Ted Cole, Sideways on Transformers Cybertron, would be a pretty good choice too.

I think Raven-Symone should play A.J.

If I were to make a live-action GOBOTS movie,I'd take
some cues from the cartoons and the toys.In the
cartoons, some of the GoBots(like Scooter and Crasher)
have faces, which give them more personality.I'd have
them look like they do in the cartoons, even with their
boxy looks and not "update" them like they did with
the recent TRANSFORMERS movie, where the robots now look
like generic metal-monsters with no personality.
In order for a live-action GOBOTS movie to work,we can
not have 85 minutes of giant robots flying around,
shooting laserbeams at each other, hitting nothing!
The characters have to be fleshed out.In the cartoons,we
know very little about Hunter,Nick, and A.J.'s back-
grounds and their connections with each other.I'm
not saying build 85% of the movie around the humans and
very little on the Gobots, like they're probably going
to do with the TRANSFORMERS movie. The Gobots are just
as important as the humans themselves.
For the sake of logic, there has to be some kind of
backstory to the Gobots. Why do robots from a planet
light years away from Earth happen to transform into
Earth-like vehicles?

reply

Okay it seems the cast is in place, now what about a director and a producer?

reply

Okay so I haven't thought that far ahead.
I was thinking about Michael Bay and Steven Speilberg, who co-directed the Transformers movie, but considering that most people, for whatever reason, have it in for Michael because of what he did to the Transformers I may go another route.

I wish Michael Bay does do a Gobots movie, he can mess up that franchise too.

I found this fake trailer on youtube:

"We've witnessed your human capacity for war. It would absolutely bring more harm than good."

reply

I've seen that dozens of times before.
