I don't like Kilmer, but there is one thing I agree with him on.

Okay. Kilmer wasn't a nice man and I don't like him. However there is one part of the movie that I do side with him on over Mox. Mox had absolutely no business organizing an all night drinking party at a strip club the night before a game. As somebody who had been thrown into the position of team leader once Lance got hurt, he should have known better. And by doing this, he did cost the Coyotes a shot at an undefeated season. That was just flat out irisponsible on Mox's part. Wendall even told them they couldn't be out drinking because they had Elwood the next day. And what was Mox's response to that "Comeon, you're drinking tonight." Furthermore, in a town that small in Texas where football is everything, the bar owner should have known that by doing this it would jeopardize the game. Seriously, why couldn't Mox have waited until after the game and had the drinking party on Saturday?

Like I said, Kilmer was not a good man and ultimately deserved what he got in the end. But likewise Mox totally deserved the chewing out he got after they got stomped by Elwood.

I disliked Mox just as much as I disliked Kilmer.

While Kilmer was an awful character I actually enjoyed watching Jon Voight's performance as Coach Kilmer a lot more than I enjoyed watching James Van Der Beek's performance as Mox (I can't stand James Van Der Beek TBH and find him to be a horrible actor), I thought Jon Voight's performance as Coach Kilmer was the best part of the movie, it would've been a forgettable, run of the mill movie if it wasn't for Jon Voight's performance as Coach Kilmer, I thought the guy who played Billy Bob (Forgot his name) did a good job with his role.
