Robyn Wright amazingly good in this

What do you think of Robyn Wright's performance in this? I find she just was awesome.

I'm rewatching parts of the movie and just her all act is so real, so full of details, all the time, that make her acting so just. She and Newman just are fantastic here. I love Kevin Costner so much but I fell he failed at getting his emotions out at times. The cold mysterious kind of guy works for other characters. But not here. It's like something is lacking sometimes. Like when there is the fight with his dad. His emotions even if played as contained were not strong as it would probably be if your new love left and your dad is arguing with you about your dead wife! It's just like he didn't throw the ball back at Paul Newman and Robyn Wright sometimes.

But so, what do you think of Robyn Wright's performance in this? Did you also notice that her acting here was very very very rich?

I think they wanted to highlight the differences between Garret and Teresa.

Teresa was a big city girl who had been married/divorced and probably had lived/experienced a lot more than ?Garret had.

Garret was from a smaller town/simpler life and that may have been why going to NY would never work for he or Catherine.

I think he had a more laidback approach to life and enjoyed his surroundings quite a bit while Teresa was a little more willing to take risks and search for adventure.

I'm fine with the fact that he wasn't very emotional, it gave the audience a chance to see him grow out of his shell that he retreated into with Catherine's illness and death.

Teresa started that process for him it's just too be they couldn't complete the journey together.

Interesting! I was more speaking about the actors. I think Kevin Costner has been given awesome roles that made him a star but his acting is so very limited. But you give quite a rich and deep analysis of the characters, thank you.

I think KC suffers a bit in the way that Robert Redford did, it's hard to get past his physical looks and believe him as a versatile actor.

While I don't think he's a GREAT actor in terms of range I've liked him in most of the movies he's been in.

In this movie he plays a very likable simple character and I thought he presented himself very well.

I think he kind of let Robin Wright's character carry the movie because it's as much her journey as it is his, albeit different ones.
