Exactly the song I'm looking for. A well-produced, bluesy number with a young male singer and the chorus repeats, "It's been so long"... I'll post it if I find it.

So far I've found "It's Been So Long" was originally performed by The Pastels, which version is available on a Best of Doo-Wop cd. I've heard it and it is the same song but not the same performance. Then someone here mentioned that the film version of the song was performed by the band Sugaro.

Sugaro is a New York group composed of the following musicians:

Gary Gold – Drums, Catherine Russell – Lead Vocals, Aaron Heick – Saxaphone, Tom Barney – Bass, Leo Traversa – Bass, Jeff Pevar – Guitar and Will Barrow – Keyboard. They are all touring and studio musicians who have played with the likes of Steely Dan, David Bowie, Cindy Lauper, Jackson Browne, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Ray Charles, David Crosby, Tania Maria, Paul Simon, Miles Davis, Michael Brecker, Rosanne Cash, and many others too numerous to mention. They each have also excelled in their own individual music careers. They blend rhythm and blues, and jazz and rock.

It also appears there is no soundtrack for this film.
