Goof: Wrong way on GW bridge

We see them in a car "going upstate" from Manhattan. However, the car is going from New Jersey to Manhattan on the George Washington Bridge. We look through the passenger window to see Riverside Park, and the Empire State building further downtown. No way does NJ to NY lead to "Upstate" NY on either side of the Hudson.

Well, you could take the Henry Hudson or the Major Deegan northbound to the NY Thruway, which would then get you as upstate as you wanna be.

Seems kinda out of the way when the Palisades Parkway is just behind you, but it's possible.

No, that is not a "goof" it is the Williamsburgh Bridge. They are leaving Brooklyn heading to Manhattan. To the right is the Empire state... Then I guess they will head across town to the West Side Highway or, take the FDR ? Ha, oh to drive in NYC!

DocFilm is right. That's exactly how Empire looks, from the GWB, as you are driving into Manhattan from New Jersey. Which is the opposite way that they were going. You see Riverside Park in the foreground. There is no way that's the Williamsburg or any other bridge. Empire is MUCH closer to the Willie B, and there's a ton of tall buildings nearby.

Sloppy movie all around. Didn't care much for it.
