Whoopi in Hollywood Squares

Here in Australia we get Hollywood Squares on cable on a delay and only recently have we started receiving episodes without Whoopi Goldberg, what happened to her being the center square?

Whoopi left the show in a contract dispute about how much they would pay her as Celebrity guest and co-producer of the show.
Of course it's moot now, three years after the show was subsequently cancelled!
