season 5

I've been doing some research about the show, and finally learned why Whoopi left. (She had contract problems. I guess the other celebs which left had their own reason.

Production team changed, and they kept Tom Bergeron as host. I still can't figure out why the announcer changed though. So far, I haven't found any answers online. I thought Shadoe Stevens did a good job for the first 4 seasons.
