Ali's hair color

I preferred her with red hair. I associated her going blonde with the disintegration of her personal life. When the show started she still had hope of one, once she got the job thoroughly "under" her, but by the end, the job consumed her, she'd seen too much, and the hair color change and lack of makeup represented her total commitment to it. He manner of dress changed, and her bitterness showed through. I thought it was such a genuine move for the character, it was one of the reasons I enjoy the show. While I see it in syndication on the Mystery Channel, I watch every episode they show. It was that good.

I prefferred the blond as well . She appeared more rugged and Street wise , which I think helped her Characters believability .
