I also prefer Jonathan Frakes. I guess I am a bit biased since I started watching the show with the second season when Frakes was the host. I didn't see the Brolin episodes until much later and didn't really care much for him as the host.

James Brolin made me laugh because he's a washed up has been. So my vote is for Riker. Jon seems cool and can make fun of himself!

You're argument is based on the fact that frakes isn't washed up?

sorry but when all you do is "con's" you are the very definition of "washed up"

Frakes...and he's gone on to direct more these days.....you seem to favor Brolin, wonder why? Jonathan is WAY much funnier and easy on the eyes (yes, even now!)

Jonathan Frakes!! for sure!.. James was ok but Frakes makes it more interesting to watch!.. Plus Jonathan is easy on the eyes!.. and handsome!. I could look at him all day long and listen to him talk for hours!..

Jonathan Frakes all the way, biaaaaaaaatch!

The ways I hate James Brolin.

He just looks like a jerk, yanamean?
He doesn't even have to say a word, just squint his beady eyes.
Upon further observation of his personality, mannerisms, and the way he talks, he leaves no question.
Just when I thought my disdain was finished building, I find out he's married to Barbara Streisand. Took it to a HNL.

Yeah , I started watching with Brolin as the host too . The only boring thing is the story-telling segment . Seems like an all deliberate plot to drag time and save capital for the show .

I was baffled to suddenly see Frakes doing the other seasons .

Why wasnt Brolin casted again as the host ?

Is there some strange truth for this ? Perhaps someone could reveal the truth for me just like the show ?

I think that people just didn't like Brolin, and from what I've heard, he's kind of a pain to work with. Personally I think Frakes is a lot more charismatic and enjoyable as a host. But that's just my opinion.
