Lifetime Movies for Men

The writing, directing, acting, and prodcution of this movie were very much in the Lifetime Television vein, only with a male-oriented story. Disposable.

"Hollywood productions where characters say stuff like "You touch me again and I'll kill you"....and then they proceed to clear out an entire room full of 17 bad guys, all with the camera cutting every 1.4 seconds like in a music video."

Where can I find that ?

Pls explain. Don't recall any machismo in the film. Maybe only the death of Erica by her jealous boyfriend could fit the category.

I thought Lifetime always had "women in peril" stories. The kind where they are stalked by a killer and always break a heel off a shoe and are dragged along by the hero.

This comparison to Lifetime Movies is ridiculous. Many "Lifetime Movies" are very well done. Not all of them are women and children in peril,(two of my least favorite topics), but are about coping in life. If it's well done, it's a worthy endeavor. It's not an insult to compare a film to them.

I don't see this film as a made for TV or a segmented cable channel. James Caan said it in the special features on the DVD: they don't make many films like this. Maybe at one time they did, especially B pictures but many A pictures, especially at Warners, were like this but with different acting styles.

Lifetime movie for men would be like the Max Hardcore series. I have no idea who this movie is supposed to appeal to, but whoever they are I don't like them

Your subject made me LOL. That is all.

I'd like to see what Lifetime movies you're watching, because this is one of the most beautifully shot movies of recent years.
