A sidekick input that pitched it up... there

Was the way that Gaea had so many evolved different races. And some of them were realy atractive, as the Dopeldanger we saw (it really hit the mark for me when his backstory was shown and his modus operandis too), the Ghekkos, the Cats and of course the Beast men we saw immediately in the beggining.

Can't anyone here reffer to me any series that might develop this kind of stuff?

Such series, if any, with proper development in this would seriously be awesome.
