DVD Warning!

I recently purchased the 'all region dvd' off Amazon. To my dismay I discovered that the DVD is in fullscreen format, not widescreen. It isnt pan-and-scan thankfully, but it is cropped. For all intents and purposes, the film is still beautiful. The framing and cinematography seem to remain in tact, mostly because the original aspect ration was only 1:1.85. Disheartened as I was because I'm a purist, the film retains its grace and beauty. I guess look on ebay because amazon only has the fullscreen version.
