Simply wonderful film

what do you like about this film?

I saw this last night and was mesmerized at how good a movie it was.

The hotel room scene between Hai & Lan moved me to tears. I did not anticipate what actually occurred - it was totally unexpected and because of that it threw me and captured me with its overwhelming tenderness. I will never ever forget it; truly one of the most beautiful love scenes I've ever witnessed on screen.

(Lan had earlier talked about the hotel and what it represented to her, so only by having heard her discuss this can one fully understand the impact of that particular love scene later on)
