i really like this film, i caught it on israeli television it shows alot here on the movie channels.. i give it 8 of 10, the acting and directions are very good, soundtrack is beautiful also (fun to be happy (or something like that) is such a beautiful song and scene!! (the scene where SPOILER: the main character jerks off in his room)).
so how did you get to the movie?
I didn't watch it from the begining. So I didn't catch everything I mean. I really liked the thing between the main actor and that playwriter. It was funny too. Especially when the lead character goes to the bar with gay guys.
I saw it at the Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. I thought it was great. I can't understand why it didn't get wider distribution. Julie Kavner (voice of Marge on the Simpsons) has a terrific supporting role, and the movie is a nice twist on the now very very very familiar plot of an american high school kid coming out.
I arrived here while exploring works of Irene Molloy. I am interested in seeing more of her since I am only familiar with her from "Andy Richter Controls the Universe." I have not seen the movie, though hopefully either the Sundance or IFC channel will show it.
