I am doing a Phantasm marathon. I just watched this film again and wonder where the Zombie Cop comes from? It does not seem to resemble any of the other 'enemies' in the films. I think it more reminds me of the 'Maniac Cop' from that other film series :p
Anyone have any ideas...

Kinda reminded me of the cop from the 1991 movie Highway To Hell, seems like it manifests after the hearse with Mike drives by the normal cop sitting in his car

It's kinda absurd. I guess asking where he came from is just lowering your own fun watching the film, because essentially, it makes zero to no sense :D. The film is very entertaining if you connect it to the whole series. But there are so many stupid scenes. Just like Michaels attack with his own "Ball" against the tall man, which OF COURSE prompts the tall man to go close to the car so that Michael could kill him. Gotta love that film :D
