did reggie forget to reload no becouse he reloaded just before the tall man came reggie even sed about introduceing him to his foure frends here

Well, he did try. When the Tall Man was right in front of him, Reggie pulls the trigger, and there's a click, and they both look down at the gun before the Tall Man grabs him. Whether the gun locked, was out of ammo, or the Tall Man stopped it from shooting is unknown.
