DVD?

This wasn't the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it stuck with me. It came out during a time when Christopher Walken was mostly playing roles that were either over-the-top or self-parody.

The Opportunists is a nice little character study with great acting from Walken and good performances from Cyndi Lauper and Donal Logue (I can't remember who else was in it).

So why isn't this movie on DVD? I'm sure a lot of people who missed it when it was in the theaters (which is most people) would like to see it, especially if they're Walken fans or like a good little crime movie.

I've heard and read many times that everything will eventually make it to DVD.

Not so, though.

Or maybe it's just some of Peter McDonald's stuff - I Went Down, Saltwater, The Opportunists.

Go figure.

Saw this movie way back for the first time as a late night show on a BBC channel and loved it. Totally forgot about it of course.
Untill totday when i was looking in a second hand books/CD/movie store, rare jewel :) Tiny little big movie, the kind i adore. I pitty the guy that sold it there, the moron.
So if you still looking for a copy, try a second hand store, you never know what you find there :)

I found the DVD in a store that was going out of business. This is a French DVD edition, with the English and French sound tracks and french subtitle track, but no bonuses. So that must be available somewhere (like ebay.fr). The editor is Aventi, which releases cheap DVDs of unknown movies in France (bought it for 2 euros). The movie title is translated to "Les Opportunistes".
