Why doesn't Anton remember killing his parents?

Only his hand was possessed, and he was obviously conscious and aware when he killed everyone else. Is this explained in the movie?

He was sleepwalking and the hand was controlling him.

I wonder what else the hand was doing when he was asleep besides killing his parents, I mean that only took the hand like a couple hours tops.

He also doesn't remember killing the other four people that were mentioned on the news. Maybe he didn't become conscious of it until his friends helped him realize it. Perhaps he was asleep during the first few murders.

I'd say too stoned out of his mind to wake up and notice that he's killing people.

I'd say in all those other murders we was too high to remember anything. When he started remember he was not smoking.

Since Anton was soooooo lazy, it's very likely he was asleep or tripping.

I am watching this movie right now. Here's my theory.
He exhaled so he could take a big hit of the nutmeg and oregano, takes a big hit, nasty tasting, goes to the sink, uses dish soap. He was tripping pretty good when he kills his parents. Now about how his hand became possessed, I do not have a theory, yet  , if you know let me know, I like spoilers
