Hmm so many people keep recommending Beautiful Thing. I watched it once and it failed to impress me much, it's too hush-hush for my taste, Edge of Seventeen was more real-life, well, I guess BT too but maybe different kind of real-life. I mean, falling for a "straight" guy and getting beat up is everyday stuff you see on tv so Edge I prefer as it deals more with how a guy who's just discovering he's gay approaches (or is approached by) sex.
Also the soundtrack is fab, ok I love 80s music. Beautiful Thing is a tad too British for my taste.
