Second most of the ones mentioned here, but you all missed "Wild Reeds," the best gay coming of age film ever made. None of the others even compare.

Has nobody seen 'Happy Together' by Wong Kar Wai??? It is a refreshing break from the stereotypical crap that is most gay movies.

Although having said that, ’Pourquoi Pas Moi', 'Bambam and Celeste' and 'But I`m a Cheerleader' are definitely worth watching.

Oh, I cant not mention 'Breakfast on Pluto', 'Ma Vie en Rose', 'La Mala Educacion', 'Todo Sobre mi Madre', 'Laws of Desire', 'History Boys', 'Boys dont Cry' and 'xxy'!

there's a bunch listed so far that I haven't seen so my list probably isn't the most fleshed out but off the top of my head

Edge of Seventeen
Luster
L.I.E
Mysterious Skin
Totally *beep* Up
Sugar
Spin The Bottle

Can't really think of anything else

I admit, half of the movies people have listed I've never heard of...I haven't seen a whole lot of gay themed movies, but of the ones I've seen, my favorite are:

Wilde (Michael Sheen!)

Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa (Michael Sheen again...it's because of Mr. Sheen that I am a KW fan)

Prick Up Your Ears

Breakfast on Pluto

RENT (is that a gay themed movie?)

Cabaret (ok, more the 1993 TV play than the movie...I love Alan Cumming!)

Edge of Seventeen (so far....I'm just now watching it for the first time)

-Amanda

No one mentioned Shelter? It's probably the best one
