Currently airing and ON DEMAND on TCM

Heads up to anyone who is interested. Decline part 3 is as of now (10/30/2015) on demand on TCM, at least on Bright House Networks on the Tampa area. And I’m sure it is available around the country.

Decline part 1 has been available for the last couple weeks, but it now gone. Part 2 doesn’t seem to have been available at all unless I missed it. I know it aired one night at 2:am.

This one is much less about the music scene and more about the culture around where the scene is, if you follow my logic. Meaning that i don’t think a lot of the people interviewed particularly cared about the art or message of the performers. They were homeless. I suspect that’s why the film never gained a true release when it was made initially.

Just my 2 cents. It’s worth a look anyway.

Kudos to TCM for making these available uncut. I found the Shout Factory set at my library and watched all three films plus the bonus features over the course of a few days.

I didn't find this film as compelling as the first "Decline" as certainly not as much as the second because the music seems like an afterthought. These were street punks, but they didn't seem as connected to the music as the fans in the first two films. Their stories are touching at times but aggravating at others, and a bit of context and momentum would have helped this film greatly.
