Reason for R rating?

The description says "some language", but does anyone have specifics on why the movie was rated R?

Thanks.

I believe the "F" bomb is used. That alone will get the R anytime.

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

Yeah, there's a few "F" bombs and a bit of other language, but it's really a clean movie other than that. I really enjoyed it!

Acually, a film can have up to 1 (maybe even 2) F-bomb and not get the R Rating. There are a number of films that fall in this category: Back to School, Bruce Almighty.

In fact, a film can have nudity and still be PG (look at 18 Again).

that's the weird thing about the whole rating system. Studio movies get away with more while they usually stick it to the indies.

This is an R-rated film that feels more like a PG-13. It probably has half a dozen F-bombs, yet it still feels mild. None of them is used sexually, which is how PG-13 films get away with using the word. But I think this just has a few more than would be allowed in PG-13. Anyway, great film with incredibly imaginative dialogue and direction.
