'Root Of Evil' animation

Hiya, here's my question. Can someone confirm my suspicion that "Root Of Evil" was the first episode they drew? Based on the fact that Ming, Lothar, LJ and Jedda all look very different, and LJ and Mandrake even sound slightly different, not to mention the look of the Ice Robots (and the lack of Garax), and Dynak X. Plus there's some scenes that look like they're meant as introductions to the various characters (Flash's space antics at the start of the episode, the kids doing their homework etc). Am I right?

It sure looks so, especially with the deisgns mostly looking like the designs seen in the pilot (though the animation is more in tune with the rest of the series and not as good as the pilot). Who knows, maybe it was just storyboarded before the rest of the series, using the original designs, but no one checked to correct it all through the animation process.

Still got my fingers crossed, waiting for Judas Contract to get green-lit

By the same token, I think "Cold War" was the second episode made, Mandrake still sounds a little American in this one.

Actually, I think "The Revenge Of Astra" was the second episode animated. If you watch when Flash, Mandrake and Lothar find The Phantom's cell, the Ice Robot on guard is of the same design as "Root Of Evil". There's also a bit when Flash gets into the Copter where he looks like he did in that episode.
