I enjoyed it

Like most Countdown fans, I was extremely worried about the departures of Carol and Des, but was still rather anxiously excited about seeing the revamped show fronted by a new team and - today - was pleasantly surprised.

Jeff Stelling - never heard of him before (I'm not a sport fan) but he was witty and likeable and I thought he already had kind of made himself in the hot-seat.

Rachel Riley - in the photos of her, she looked rather ditzy and dolly but seeing her actually on the show reassured me. She was rather charismatic and down-to-earth and brought with her a youthful aura.

Susie Dent - was nice to see her still on the dictionary corner, retaining a slight element of the previous Countdown series, hopefully she'll stay on for several years to come.

Andrew Sachs - was a great bonus to see a renowned actor in the dictionary corner and - we got to see him do a Manuel impression!

The set was also pretty impressive. Though they kept the same format, it had a more 21st century feel to it I thought - modernized, which was great in addition to those comfy looking leather chairs! It was nice that they kept the same theme-tune though - may that stay FOREVER!!

It'll be hard and strange seeing the show without Carol (after Sach's monolouge, I was waiting to hear her distinctive laugh!) and Des but the new strong team seem to be doing a good job.

I must admit I got quite bored with Des O'Connor's presenting. He just seemed as though he was going through the motions half the time. Also, his incessant use of the phrase 'okey doke' really started to grate on me after a while.

With the new presenters and the new set especially, I think the programme has a renewed, fresh feel about it.

I personally didn't tire of Des at all, I liked him but I do agree that the programme has a 'renewed, fresh feel about it' - beautifully put, may I add :-)

It remains to be seen how good she really is with the numbers though, there weren't any particularly challenging numbers games yesterday.

Yes Jeff Stelling was a great choice He has wit and a good sense of humour hopefully he will stay for a good while Rachel looks a little nervous initially
but she will prob settle in as time goes on and develop her own style Carol Vorderman's exit after so many years left big shoes to fill so give her a chance everyone The show looks freshened up
