Just watched a few old episodes with 'ladies man' Des Lynam, and watching them, he really does look bored stiff and can't wait to jump ship. He has that look of 'when I see my agent, Im going to ask me why he got this gig!' He looks like a condemned man on Death Row. His sighs are audible and the drooped shoulders are a dead give away he's NOT enjoying this at all
shareI agree completely. I hated the show when he was on it. It picked up again after Des O'Connor took over but now it has this charisma-free presenter called Jeff Stelling.

Why did Des O'Connor leave anyway? it was so much better with him on it and yeah Des Lynam was boring, but I find him boring anyway so..hey-ho!
shareThe official line was that he was missing the buzz of live performances. But I don't know if there was more to it behind the scenes than that. Everyone I talk to seems to love Jeff Stelling, so the producers are happy now anyway.
