I am working on a theory that one reason for the especially vehement hatred of the original, intelligent, charming, and brilliantly executed SiL, is that the general populace detects just barely enough highbrow intellectual humor in it to feel that an awful lot of things are going WHOOSH way over their heads. And as they hate feeling stupid, they feel the need to preemptively announce what an awful picture and dumb chick flick/romcom this is. What say you?
