One of the *** FUNNIEST lines ever
Warning: SPOILER ALERT
I only wish I could say for sure what actress delivers the particular line that I will mention, but she is not (to my knowledge) very well known; all I know is that she is an African-American and damn good at her craft. Looking at the cast list (since I don't yet own the DVD), I am assuming (just assuming, mind you) that the lady in question is named Laura A. Pursell (character: Louanne). Anyway, she is a basically decent low-income mother whom Jack Coleman's character is trying to help. At the end, Talia Shire (just before she is killed) tries to strangle this poor soul, whose vocabulary is far from delicate; and, when she turns around and sees Talia lying dead on the floor, she turns to Jack and says in utter shock (but with the greatest comic panache): "Who the *beep* was that!!??" Believe me, you have to see the priceless expression of disbelief, shock, and contempt on the face of this woman who was almost killed to appreciate just what a scream that line is. We all find different things funny; and, although I am no fan of raunchy humour, such as is found in "American Pie," I swear that I rewound the tape ten times when I first saw the movie just to hear her deliver the line in that oh-so-inimitable way.
I gotta say that this particular actress has given me many laughs -- call me odd, but just in the course of the day I'll think of the way she said the line and burst out laughing.
