Sometimes, I think about the line where the Narrator says "My father left every 6 years to start a new family" and Durden says "fuckers setting up franchises".

I assume the Narrator's father is of the Baby Boomer generation, and it reminds me of how despicable they are. The things they complain about are not as worse as the world they have left for future generations. They're pigs. And they point the finger at you and say you're destroying the world. They call you selfish because they cannot eat your food.
