That's not Pudu!

I am a malaysian, and i always use the train service. The so-called Pudu Station in the movie is not pudu at all, the actual name of the station is "Sri Petaling". Maybe they had to use sri petaling for the set because the station is not that busy. The actual pudu station, which is based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur is very hectic. the other thing i found a bit strange was the slums area, the are where catherine zeta-jones says "isn't it beautiful here?" that does not look like malaysia at all, it looks more of thailand! and the slums are not located near the twin tower!!!

It's "Bukit Jalil" actually... You can even see the hockey stadium and pink Carrefour building in the movie. I wonder why they had to rename it to Pudu anyway... Maybe BUKIT JALIL was too hard for actors to pronounce?

I actually heard that the slums was shot in Malacca and the twin towers were super-imposed onto the shot although i have been to malacca and it looks nothing like that shot.

actually if you read the 'trivia' section, it says they used the name 'pudu' for geographic realism, but filmed it at another station for aesthetics.

OP is wrong. Pudu station is in Pudu. while Plaza Rakyat station is in Puduraya ! Pudu is less hectic compared to Pudu Raya, the bus station.
