This film was the sexiest film of 1999.
The way Connery and Catherine moved on-screen was like watching a 007 film that never was.
The ending to the film DEFINATELY left open the possibility of a sequel.
The plot possibilities are ENDLESS!!

Connery & Zeta race with Brosnan for a priceless artifact - could be a very famous sculpture or simply the Mona Lisa. So the two 007s will go head-to-head, both also vying for Zeta at the same time (say Brosnan had dumped Russo earlier, poor Rene!)
At the end of the day will Gin stay with Mac or leave him for Crown? Bottomline is
0ne got the hollow Prize, the other won the Girl. That's a pretty good hi-concept!
Edit: 0r better yet, let Russo join the party, and at the end have a wife-swapping ie. Bros+Zeta, Sean+Rene, how's that!

I'd like a sequel, too, especially almost 13 years after the original .. this also was Sean Connery's last #1 movie though not his last...
I would only watch if Sean was back...and Catherine SHOULD be the next Bond girl.
Connery is pretty much retired from live acting -- hasn't done a movie since 2003. (Although he was appearing at public functions -- even the US Open tennis tournament, as a fan -- as recently as last year and appears to be in good physical shape.)
Jeremy Irons could pass as Mac's younger brother.
