Anyone else?

Want them to get caught? I did. I've never cared for movies that glorify crime and criminals. There seems to be quite a list of movies where they try to make thieves into heroes. I'd like to see a film where the "likeable" thieves end up in prison for 20 years (where they belong.)

Save the whales; collect the whole set.

Wow!!! First off, I'm surprised someone commented 13 hours ago. What a coincidence because I just got done watching the film on HBO Go and wanted to see the discussion. Not many random movies from 1999 have comments this recent.

Getting to your question, I wasn't really routing for them to get caught, I do sometimes route against the main characters, but not in this case.

I love your idea though about locking the likeable thieves up for 20 years. You should write a script for something like that. Send it to somebody in Hollywood. I have always loved the idea of making movies that defy tropes and stereotypes. Especially if it is really unexpected.

Like TBWarrior720, my opinion varies with every film but I didn't find the thieves in this to be charming, so I wouldn't have minded if they were caught. Connery could have ended up under the train, that's how highly I thought of his character.

Nope.

So you'd rather see kids killing each other or their parents? Or would you rather see horror movies where someone innocent is possessed by Satan and they are ordered to kill and chop the heads off of people? Well I'd take this movie over that crap every single time!
