Entrapment is a rare movie where they can pull off the romance while making sure it doesn't turn into a romantic drama flick.

It's 80% thriller and 20% romance. The writers and director knew that if they wanted to keep their targeted audience interested they'll have to make a love / hate script, and the love triangle would have to be 10% part of the screenplay.
