Cathrine Zeta Jones rated Sean Connery 9/10

Apparently CZJ scored SC kissing 9/10...maybe she has a thing for old guys. They were both very good in this movie, i was a bit skeptical about the attraction between them, but they pulled it off. The storyline was a bit far-fetched...but the movie didn't bore me...hopefully they'll make entrapment two.

I agree. The relationship was like wait a minute he's 60! I LOVED the movie and watched twice in three days.

reply

I guess age is relative. Sean Connery is not 60...he's really 73...Catherine Zeta-Jones is 33 I believe. They seemed to pull off the attraction bit just fine, and why not. One of my best friends is married to a man 21 years older than her and they couldn't be happier. Sean Connery is still voted #3 of the sexiest men on the planet, although I never understood the attraction myself...

The movie is enjoyable if you give it the old "willing suspension of disbelief" because the heists are completely unrealistic. Still, a fun movie overall.

I agree with Swankgrrl about the age gap not being a problem. Why do people make such a fuss about it? My parents have a big age gap and their marriage has lasted miles longer than some of my friends parents and is still going strong. I don't think age matters.
I think its an amazing movie.

For the record, he was 69 when the movie came out.

What, she was like 28 and he 68 when the movie came out? 40 year age difference.

Even that 21 year age gap is weird. When the man was 21, she was being born? When she was 15, he was 36. A 20-year old dating a 41 year old? It's kind of weird... If they're happy, good for them. No.. GREAT for them, but it's still weird.

reply

It's definitely weird and sorry, I know people want to be all "if they're happy then great" but nope. Imo a 30-40 yr age gap can't possibly have anything in common. Either someone has daddy issues and the other is a secret pedophile. I can't imagine dating my son's friends.

reply

And of course your way of thinking and point of view is the only one that is true and correct, everyone else are ungodly heathens who have "daddy" issues or are secret pedophiles .. project much????

I agree with Flats....

Ruthie Henshall rocks!

These comments are going back to what the 1st person posted.

I think she does have a thing for older guys actually, apparently before she got really famous, you know when she was jsut a little starlet on the west end she'd always say to her friends "One day i'm going to marry that Michael Doulgas and have his children" and she damn well did!

I also think they should make an Entrapment two, it would be quite good coz they left it in a place where they could if they wanted to, it would be interesting to see if they are still together, if they have kids, if they are still up to their old tricks etc and plus Gin was trying to explain to Mac her big plan to get some diamonds or something but no one heard it coz the train was going by so amybe it could be about that? Just a thought tho!

Actuallt to prove you all wrong Catherine Zeta Jones rated Sean(sexiest man ever)Connery 12/10 because thats how cool he is.So there.Just in case anybody wanted to know the origonal idea about diamonds came from the first draft screenplay where thier second job is stealing a diamond making machine.
P.S Sean Connery is the coolest and sexiest guy EVER.

A bit of Trivia :

At the Academy Awards where Catherine Zeta Jones won her award...Sean Read all the Actessss other names as full names, when he opened the envelope, he justlooked at CZ-J and said "And the winner...Catherine."

Whoa. way personal. They kissed and she kept calling him 'her scottsman' in her acceptance speech. Her nickname for him in this movie.

I think there a definite 'look me up if you ever bail on your other half' chemistry between those two.

reply

There was chemistry between these two.

When they promoted the movie at the Cannes festival back in 1999 she actually rated him 11/10.

reply

Of course there was chemistry between them, there could never not be with Sean Connery!

I'd have paid millions to play Catherine's role alongside him if that were humanly possible (I was only 9 when the film first came out, lol)

"Do you want it?" YES, Jareth!

reply

i don't care for this thread being 7 years old, to say following: It's an old fact woman like older man! lol
