I noticed BCI changed the title of their Welcome to the Grindhouse DVDs to EXPLOITATION CINEMA. I was like WTH? I saw this as one of the double features. How's the DVD?

BCI had to change the Welcome to the Grindhouse DVDs to Exploitation Cinema because that jerk Harvey Weinstein threatened to sue over the use of the word grindhouse. The DVD offers a nice 2:35:1 widescreen presentation from a print that's in pretty beat-up, but overall acceptable shape. The extras are a punch of cool 70's drive-in movie trailers, an intermission concession stand spot, and a commentary by legendary martial arts fighter Ron Van Clief for "The Black Dragon."

Harvey is a f'ing idiot, I swear. You know he made the Germans shelf their Grindhouse Blu-Ray release? Yeap, it was due out the first week of March and he pulled. The DVD sounds great. I have the "Welcome to the Grindhouse" DVDs for Mailbu High & Trip with the Teacher, Prime Evil & Don't Answer the Phone, and The Pick Up & The Teacher. I want to get the Sonny Chiba ones but I could never find those ones in the stores.

The Germans? Oh that wasn't business; it was personal. Harvey Weinstein is just a bloodsucker. I find it sad that we have to depend on these parasites to get our movies now. it's a sad state of affairs, when copyright owners steal all the money that should be going to the artists who are creating this stuff. I still remember when that piece of filth bought up the rights to "Malena," with Monica Bellucci, and hacked out/censored like 15 minutes and ordered up a cheesy English overdub; basically taking a piece of art and turning it into a money making turd. I had to have a dvd sent from Italy because of that greedy little Jew..

You mean to say that bloodsucker Harvey Weinstein has copyrighted the word "grindhouse," a term that's been in existence since the late 60's??? how is that possible, or legal? Wow, i think I'm gonna claim ownership of the Sun; it's MINE now and nobody else is allowed to draw heat from it! The ironic thing is that this uber mainstream trash peddler who produces only the most commercial, mainstream, big budget GARBAGE should have rights over a term like "Grindhouse." why does he even want it? I guess we can thank that prostitute Quentin Tarantino for further exploiting our "exploitation cinema." Can I use that term, "exploitation cinema?" Or do I have to pay some greedy Jew to do it?
Anyway I'm glad to hear that "Chinese Hercules" is finally available in a widescreen print. The copy i own is horrible pan and scan, and I know that about 60% of the picture is just gone. This is an unexpectedly good movie..

When some rich, fat, no-talent pig buys up the rights to someone's artistic creation, and hacks it to pieces for his own disgusting greed. That's what Harvey 'Wormstein' does. He buys up the rights to beautiful foreign and arthouse films like "Malena," and censors them, and changes the voices and the music..all to make it more appealing to American audiences, AKA "mouth-breathers" who can't deal with subtitles or intelligent content. I can't help hating someone who destroys a beautiful film as much as I love the person who created it. I hope Harvey Weinstein chokes to death on a pork chop. The world would be a better place with one less parasite. Incidentally, what this hack did to the film "Malena" is basically comparable to book burning..
