Should be in the GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS (spoiler warning)

The Guiness Book of World Records has a section for movies. Most expensive move, most popular movie, movie with the most extras, and so on.

Well if there ever was a category for the movie with the most ironic twist ending ever this would be it in my opinion.

I mean not only does the hero of the story lose and fail but on top of that he DIES and on top of that his GOOD NAME IS RUINED. Everyone will think it was HIM that did this! So a good man trying to save lives and defeat evil terrorists ends up failing horribly, getting killed, getting duped into committing the act for them and ends up being remembered not as a hero but as a sicko.

The unfairness is so extreme. The ending reminds me of the crime suspense story FALL GUY FOR MURDER written as a comic book in the 1950s. This and FALL GUY FOR MURDER have the 2 most ironic endings ever.

That is not how you spell "Guinness", nor is that the definition of 'ironic'.

Good job though

reply

Actually he got the irony part right.

ironic for such a great post that he cannot spell guinness correctly

reply

Spelling is not the sum of the parts. Irritating, I'm sure...but we have to look past that *beep* For real man. We can do better...

irony is correct. creator2002 was right on many points. this movie did not wrap this up with one of those fake hero-saves-the-day endings. The end was shocking in its final nail on the coffin for the real hero of the movie.

The real hero, Faraway, is framed (remember the imposter-student in his class that slams him in the end in front of cameras).

Unexpected great movie.

That ending was not what I expected. And for the bad guys it was on to the next city for more destruction.
