Does that mean it's 12/31/80 or 12/31/81?

12-31-1981.

There are also a few references to the date. At the end, Christina Ricci's character says "1982 is going to be the best,"and there is also that scene where Kevin is standing in front of a wall full of flyers for Ellie's upcoming "Mad Woman" show, and the dates listed for the show are in January 1982.

Thanks. 12/30/80 was very significant to me, so I was going to watch the movie if it was set on that day.
