Why isnt this on DVD...

I mean its the beginning of Nathan Fillion and Ryan Reynolds careers, it had great rating until it was moved to Friday night which kills every show. All kinds of useless garbage gets released on DVD every week, This sure deserves a shot.

I agree 100%. This show deserves to be released on DVD. Besides those two guys mentioned, Traylor Howard, who was on Monk for several seasons was Sharon. Who can we write to get this to DVD?

reply

because of how long this is taking it will never come on blu ray either

There's one MAJOR obstacle to a DVD release: The title.

The show was called one thing for its first two seasons, and another thing for the last two. Because Viewers Are Morons, they won't be able to make the connection between the two.

reply

That is a good point but they should advertise it with Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillions names. People who never knew about the show will pick it up more likely for Ryan Reynolds then remembering the show.

Ellen with Ellen Degeneres had different title for it's first season, These Friends of Mine, and the season sets were still all released under one title, Ellen.

And the title change for this show wasn't even as drastic as that one. From Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place to Two Guys and a Girl. If they release them on DVD they will probably all be released under Two Guys and a Girl.

Can I ask a stupid question? ... Better than anyone I know!

reply

Yeah, they would probably call it Two Guys and a Girl. I would prefer the longer title because it's not as generic.

On April 9, 2012, Revelation Films will release Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place: Season 1 on DVD in Region 2 (UK) for the very first time.

reply

Whoohoo!

The release date has changed to April 23 2012, but still great news.

reply

I posted a thread about this. They're actually releasing all four seasons, but as far as I'm aware it's a UK only release.

I really want this on dvd/bluray. I really only got to watch the first season and bits and pieces of the others. I started working the nights it came on and I never got to see it again. I freaking loved this show. Ryan Reynolds was awesome on this. I wish someone would just put this on dvd in the USA. Like another person mention on this topic, so much crap not nearly as good as this get put on dvd everyday, why not this classic. I'm sure there's some dumb studio/rights issue but this really needs to be on dvd and/or Netflix. Something...lol

have you got seasons 3 and 4?
If so are they proper DVD releases like Season 1 & 2 or DVD compilations of the shows recorded from Television?

I have asked the sellers, but they just say no one has complained which sounds to me like they are poor quality TV recordings and they don't want to say it.

reply

Amazon have now released it on dvd :)

legitimately can't find this anywhere :(
