i mean repeated or whatever. the bbc repeats so many programmes like porridge and only fools, and yeh i love them too, but this was outstanding and i miss it so! and i don't have sky so even if it's repeated on that i wouldn't be able to see it...grrrr! so dioes anyone know if it wioll ever be repeated?
I don't know if it will ever be repeated on tv again, but if you have a dvd player I'd advise you to get the ultimate goodness gracious dvd from hmv(or other store which is retailed at only 20 pounds. It contains all 3 series, plus the christmas special and the India special as well as a few other extras(outtakes, interviews etc) I just purchased it today, and it's certainly worth the money.
Well I remember Sanjeev Bhasker on The Paul O'Grady Show, and he said that he'd love to do another series of Goodness Gracious Me. Did you know, that it was the BBC that stopped them from doing another series? DAMN THEM!!!
I got a feel it was cancelled when they did the sketch in the church. I'm a christian and found it very funny, but it could be deemed offensive and probably upset some people in "high places". Who knows how the BBC works, but they do seem to enjoy cutting off various noses to spite their many faces.
The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.
I don't agree that it was a "shot" at the Catholic church, mainly because it was a Church of England church, with a vicar, not a priest and the C of E give out wine at comminion, not Catholics (or they didn't the last time I went to church!). Also, because it wasn't done spitefully and was as much of a jibe at Asians trying very badly to adopt English culture while getting it hopelessly wrong, than it was at the Church. It was all in the realms of fantasy anyway, because who goes to church with a jar of mango chutney in their pocket?

yes paramount comedy at about 1130, then repeated again at 130 in the morning, i doubt they wouldv cancelled due to the church sketch, simply because producers off the bbc wouldv told them before hand whether or not the sketch was appropriate or not
