DVDs would be cool

I'm wondering if a 4-season dvd set will ever be made, spanning all 700+ episodes in the show's four seasons......

GSN still aires episodes (daily now!), but I don't know if they ever show the better ones, like the Lori/Cathy 5+ minute spin battle where someone loses a whole bunch on hitting a Whammy. I don't wanna spoil anything, I know how much it is, heh heh. Damn I wish I could get that one.

I just hope someday, someone considers making a dvd set, that would be totally awesome.

Even just a Best Of set would be fine with me, and it could have extras on it, or those hidden "easter eggs."

It would probably be a 'Best Of' set. They had a lot of episodes. I wonder why PYL got cancelled in '86.

That's a good question. I don't know either. Maybe the show lost more and more viewers each episode, or they lost money or didn't have enough, I really don't know.

It's not the Price Is Right (been on since '72), but at some points it really is the more exciting show.

I looked on the PYL homepage at GSN, and it said that it got cancelled because there weren't enough viewers by late 1985, since it was on during the mid morning period.

PIR is okay, sometimes it can be fun to watch. More times than not, it isn't that funny, and it has some cheesy games. It takes skill to win on PIR, it takes luck to win on PYL, well, except for Larson lol....

Oh, and I think PIR has been around since 1956.

Yeah the Price Is Right started in 1956, but I just meant the ones with Bob Barker from '72 to the present.

On this site it's called "The New Price Is Right."

Yeah, not many people realized that. Hell, I didn't before looking at it on Direct TV.

yes it does work... TV Shows on DVD is one of the priemer sites on the internet for what comes out on DVD. Rare shows like the Little Prince to Dynomutt have made a leap to DVD. PYL and any other shows that Peter was on stands a good chance of getting a release as much as any other show out there...

There's a new(ish) edition to the digital OTA lineup, 'Buzzr' TV. Check the link and scroll down to see if you're in the network coverage area. It's a classic game show wonderland, but beware, you can lose an entire afternoon in the blink of an eye.
