US-Remake?

I somewhere heard about the plans for an Hollywood-Remake of "Bang, Boom, Bang". Does anybody know more about this?

Well, I personally think, the film is brilliant as it is and a remake can only make it worse. I think "Der Himmel über Berlin"/"City of Angels" "Nikita"/"Codename Nina" are two good examples for failed remakes.

When we watch a film like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" (England) or "Pulp Fiction" (US), we also look from abroad to the (sub-)culture/millieu, the "heroes" are living in. Nevertheless it works for us. No-one would ever get the idea to do a remake of "Trainspotting" for example in Gelsenkirchen or Bochum. Why do foreign films not work for us-americans? Why is there always the need of making a remake of a succesfull foreign film?

The remake will be made by a small american independent production company. If you speak german, look at the forum on www.peter-thorwarth.de or get this pdf:
