I liked 'Lola Rennt', 'Der Untergang' and of course 'Bang Boom Bang'. I just wish more german films, especially the older ones, were available with English subtitles.

Shame on me! I haven't seen "BANG!BOOM!BANG!" by now.

That's right man, Lammbock is one of the best german movies of all time, imho. Many of you may say it's a flick for hemp consumers and those who sympathise with them but I'm neither of this and I suggest to look behind all the drug-related gags etc. before judging this film prematurely. There's a bunch of situations in this film that happened to me in a similar way or at least I was able to identify with, and these had nothing to do with weed consumption but with everyday life of a student in germany.

But back to the topic. My top 5 in german movies currently look like this:

2: Lammbock
3: The Educators
4: 23
5: Das Experiment

What about "Kurz und Schmerzlos"? I think that one is in my Top 5 of german movies. It´s expressing really well the all-day Life of Hamburg, and how things are going down in here.

M !!!!!!!!!!!! is the best german movie ever i think.

an "bang boom bang" is not worse than "snatch" i would say that some acting performances are even better.

Ehm... why oh why cant I find "Herr Lehmann" in here?
Shure, most of the movies mentioned before are quite great. But when talking about authentic german film making, dont leave out "Herr Lehmann".
