DVD

Has anyone got any ideas about whether this was ever out on video or DVD? I can't find anything. I dimly remember that this was fantastic

The first series of WISH ME LUCK is out on dvd (NTSC) from Goldhil and is easily available through AMAZON and other chains. It is a very enjoyable series. Now to the difficulty --- It seems the second and third series will NOT be coming out on dvd in the U.S., at least not through Goldhil. I called them and they stated they would not be doing it (no reason as to why) and deferred to the distributor.

Fortunately I have the second series on vhs that I taped from PBS broadcasts in the late 1980's. I like this even better than the first series! I have not seen the third series and I'd very much like to. Does anyone have (or seen) this series? IMDB states Catherine Schell of Space 1999 fame stars in the third series. If anyone has tapes or can cut dvd's for private use (third series), write me: [email protected].

Hey there!

The Third series is SUPERB!!!
I only ever saw the 2nd & 3rd series! and thanks to the DVD release watched the 1st series recently!! uncomparable! They are all fairly unique!!!
All I can say is that The 3rd in my view is the most explosive! !! Action packed until the end and the continuity with the characters is great!!!
Role on the DVD for Series 2 and 3 !!!!!!!

If buying from UK - be sure you can play region 2 - and also that your TV can handle PAL

You can however probably look at it via computer without these difficulties

Does anyone know if there are any other sites selling Series 2 that can play Region 1 (US?). Is it true Region 2 DVDs can play on computers? Thanks!

I saw season 3 on TV (in Canada) several years back ... I can't for the life of me remember what channel, though. And I agree, it was superb.

My library just got season 1 on DVD, so I'm having a great time watching it again. I wish they'd managed to put some extras on the DVD, but oh well, still great.

Hi gduch. I quite like Wish Me Luck. It seems well researched and pretty accurate and it is quite gripping, but it certainly isn't in the same league as Secret Army or Tenko for that matter, which is excellent and I'd definitely advise you to see it. However, Terrence Hardiman has quite a substantial part in the third series of WML, so maybe that's enough of a recommendation.

The truth is a bully everyone pretends to like.

I remember watching this series with my mum in the 80s and being totally gripped by it and I've never usually been that keen on wartime stories. You didn't know who would get killed next and often it turned out to be one of my favourite charcters.

The last time I saw you Charles you were in PARIS but if you have moved back to Britain all 3 series are avaiable in a dvd boxed set right now at HMV and ZAVVI and places like that.

I'm relatively new to this series having only picked up a copy of the Network DVD box set earlier this year.

However, really love this series so much that I have commented fairly heavily at the TVGold classic television discussion forum...
