Poor script - but

A very poor script but made up for by the subjects it brings up in terms of the occupation of France. The French have much to be blamed for with their complicity in the war.

An example of the lousy writing was the episode where they were to blow up the antenna in season 2. The Germans knew just about everything about the attack days in advance yet roads were not blocked (ready to be as they had to let them in first), troops not stationed properly ahead of time - instead a ridiculous, improbable chase through the woods.

Of course, if this had been realistically written the Germans would have wiped out the entire cast and the series. So the whole scenario wouldn't have been written.

Overall the script and dialogue could have been, in many places, from the "Bold and the Beautiful" or "As the World Turns."

The series was in no way comparable to "Secret Army," "Kessler" or "An Enemy at the Door"
