Love this show, but...

It repeats itself so much. Before and after every commercial, you listen to the "Rocket Robin Hooooooood (dee dee dee, dee dee!)" song. And then, just in case you forgot, the narrator tells you all about Rocket Robin Hood and his band of merry men stealing from the astro rich to give to the cosmic poor, and how the bad guys are quivering in their space boots. Every. Freaking. Five Minutes.
I still love it though. LOL!

It was way ahead of its time, they knew todays generation would have such short attention spans that they would have to keep reminding viewers what they were watching! ;)

Sounds like perfect fare for a special-needs nephew of mine, who has to have everything--I mean EVERYTHING!--explained, re-explained and re-re-explained to him to kingdom come! I oughtta get him to catch a few episodes on YouTube!

They were just being cheap. The more you can reapeat in an episode, the less new stuff you have to shoot. (Ever notice some of the characters in the opening weren't in the show itself? It cost too much to animate them). RRH was LEGENDARY for it's cheapness. Rumour has it Ralph Bakshi once had to load all the film, negative, equipment, etc. into a station wagon & drive over the border to New York so the bankers couldn't get it. Carol Pope from the band Rough Trade worked on it & said the last week before the production closed down, the studio head carried a gun stuffed in his belt (in case any creditors showed up?) Mind you, she says the entire crew were smoking joints non-stop!

Nothing you said surprises me one little bit, Sillyhuron! RRH probably deserves the prize for "Cheesiest Animation EVER!" lol!

Even the badly-animated Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor and Sub-Mariner cartoons (from the same studio as RRH!) were far superior, if only because all the episodes were direct adaptations/lifts from the comic books in which each Marvel Comics superhero's exploits were chronicled.
