Any Bruce Sweeney fans out there?

At home from work with a sore back, from bending over a box of used film books at Carson Books the other day... I'm assuming anyone reading this is from Vancouver, tho' I'd be most curious to know if Bruce Sweeney has any fans from elsewhere; decided I'd take advantage of the forced downtime to post a few messages on threads about some favourite films... And on that note, I absolutely love DIRTY. It captures so much of my experience of life on the wet coast... As a Vancouverite who was raised in Maple Ridge, I can really identify with the poor shmuck from Port Alberni. Bepeopled with potheads and middle-class women who deal marijuana out of their homes, people with eating disorders, dominatrices, people who default on their student loans, morbid aloof masochists who crave humiliation, and desperate geeky out of towners who crave communication and can't seem to get any, THIS FILM IS MY LIFE, and it delights me how local it is. Cheers to Bruce Sweeney for making it -- LAST WEDDING is delightful, too, tho' I prefer DIRTY. I think I'll email him and tell him this and ask if he has copies of the film on DVD.
