Definitely worth watching. Just one question,


Are lawyers allowed to represent blood relations? Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? I understand the lawyer in this movie represented his nephew because he obviously was the best person to do so, because black lawyers were far fewer in the '50s than today and because no white lawyer back then would have wanted a case like this. I'm just wondering if lawyers representing family members would be allowed today.

No laws against, and I don't see any conflict of interest in representing one, either. Now, prosecuting a family member certainly would cause some conflicts at the dinner table...

Yes, they can, and do.

yes they can. Personally I don't represent people that I know the case or the people firsthand. Just causes too much drama and I don't like to get personally involved in cases. But plenty of people do.



It weakens us to not give our enemies the respect they deserve...
