Seems everybody liked the show..why is a third season so hard?

On the other hand, Curtis's Agoraphobia seems to have been licked. He has been redeemed by love.

Isn't that a good place to stop?

Think of other series, that seemed to have some goal, that went on, for further seasons, after that goal was acheived. The Mentalist, for instance. Most of the episodes in the first five or six seasons, were either focused around Jane's pursuit of his Moriarty, Red John. I thought I was getting sick of the pursuit of Red John, but the final two seasons, after Red John was beaten, were a disappointment.

Everyone loved Fawlty Towers, but there were only twelve episodes, because after the health inspectors shut down the hotel, they could have made further episodes, but they wouldn't be about the hotel, so they wouldn't really be episodes of Fawlty Towers.
