Are Michele and Gino southern?

Can anyone tell me if in the Dracula sequence the two "Transylvanian leghisti" Gino and Michele are supposed to be really of southern origin (i.e. they are betraying their southern background)? Gino and Michele do not strike me as northern names.

Also, the significance of Bambrilla Fumagalli as a name? I take it "Dracula" believes them to be safe northern style names. Does Dracula attempt to speak with a northern accent when confronted by Gino and Michele?

Any help is appreciated.

Btw - this is such a funny film - the opening sequence alone (Killer) should be considered a comedy classic. Too bad it is not more widely known.

I'm sorry but im not a big fan of dracula because I really don't understand the humor involved, but they are pretty funny too bad i left italy when i was 10 b/c i missed a lot of stuff.

I'm italian, and i'm from north. "Brambilla Fumagalli" is not a name, Brambilla and Fumagalli are two surnames, they are two surnames typical from north Italy.
Yes, Dracula attempt to speak with a northen accent cause he fears the two northen guys.

1)Well Brambilla and FUMAGALLi are the ARCHETYPES of the MILAN (north) last names.
2)LEGHISTI (are a political group from the north, and they are basically crazy, (not violent) and they think italy should be divided in 2. That the south souldn't even be part of Italy.
(People usually watch there leader on TV. cause it's almost intrataining. Theis guy has middle school deegre. And alot of farmers follow him.)
