Absolutely charming!

I had originally seen the 1994 version of this film, made by Don Bluth and hated it to death. So corny, stupid and depressing, I had never wanted anything to do with this fairy tale again. That is, until my children came home from the library with a copy of this version, they asked me to watch it with them and I did. I loved every minute of it! It was so colorful and tastefully musical! No whiny characters or depressing scenes! This version was a huge improvement over the other one, even though this own was released three years before!

I agree. It is very charming, and while I didn't hate the Don Bluth film I do think this is much better in pretty much all departments.

We heard you the first time. And yes, the 1992 adaptation of "Thumbelina" is an "improvement" in both character, story and style. I write "improvement" in quotation marks since it was actually released before Bluth's, which should rightfully be described as a 'step back.' Please don't comment on films you haven't seen.

Thank you, Bethany. It had been a while since someone had stopped to praise this deserving jewel.

You can't disagree with me because you have no criteria to make an opinion on a film you have not seen.

No, I mean 1992. June 8th, 1992. IMDb has it wrong.
