James Spader unrecognizable

I actually watched this film in the theatre. Anywho.. watched the movie for like half and hour and did not realize this was James Spader. Was it just me? His jet black hair and dark eyes. And damn, his body was soooo cut! I always thought he was attractive (esp. White Palace), but he was so freakin' hot in this film. Which was good since the movie tanked anyway.

Now back to searching for Grand Unification Theory...

He is actually so uterly perfect and so sexy. i was told he was hot and amazing but i was not prepared. WOW! His face is so pretty and handsome. *shivers in delight* and the movie absolutely terrible. I thought this movie was from the 80's, can't believe it was only 2000. woah

Yes, I saw the first part on Sky and didn't think, "Oh, that's the guy I liked in Stargate."

I had to do a double take... first, I thought I was looking at Jensen Ackles but then I realised this film was released in 2000 and this guy had a way better body than JA so it couldn't possibly be him. But, OMG - what a fine bod James Spader has (or, had, I should say)! YUMMY!!

Ditto Beejai - the similarity to Jensen Ackles visually is uncanny. Had to close my eyes to hear his voice...ah! that's Spader!

Oh a related note - based on the trivia, i think the movie was shot in the 90s or 80s and then only released now...because JS was doing thr Practice and Boston Legal by then and no way he looked THAT cut.

A clue to this might be why Robin Tunneys hair is short. She actually cut it in the movie, 'Empire Records' (1995)

The guy might have been naturally big, but we never saw it.

His first appearance as Alan Shore was in 2003 on the Practice then Boston Legal spun off in 2004. So there was actually a 3-4 year window between filming.

In either case, JS is HOT in this movie. I netflixed it just so I could drool over him. God knows the movie itself wasn't worth the rental.

To the other poster that said he looks like JA, you are spot on. They should do a rewrite and refilm it with him as the star. :-)

That's funny, Spader reminded me of Jensen when I first saw him on screen. And I'm watching this 8 years later so Jensen now is about the age James was when he made this movie. He did look really hot in this movie.

I'm in full agreement. He is sexy on a whole other level in this movie. Seriously, he even looks taller in this movie lol.

Holy Crap I thought he looked like Jensen Ackles tooo but then James would look up and his eyes are different from JA eyes but damn this James guy was hot..... now a days he's....different looking I was so surprised He looks nothing like he did in 2000 sooo sad LOL
